Te Mānia, Hawke’s Bay
A large landscaping project at the base of Te Mata Peak in Hawke’s Bay.
The house is unconventional in that it is split into separate living and sleeping quarters, with guest houses set into the opposite hillside across the lake.
The landscaping therefore plays a key role to connect each building, and to carefully reveal the magnificent views across the greater landscape as you move through the property.
Completed in late 2022, these images showcase how the landscape supports the buildings from all angles nestled against a mesmerising backdrop of Te Mata Peak.
The project was featured in The Local Project.
