Ponsonby, Auckland

A Geoffrey Bawa inspired extension to a villa in Ponsonby with Jack Mckinney Architects and Katie Lockhart Studio (interiors). Early collaboration during the design process allowed us to include a permanent indoor garden within the room layout. A key design decision was to nestle the pool directly up against the house, providing a serene view out from a long lower window in the living space. A leafy garden beyond the pool creates depth within limited space.
